The SureCheck TrafficScope VRX and Micro provide superior traffic detection and accuracy. Both TrafficScope models track all aircraft with digitally precise range (maximum 5 NM), and with VRX, altitude (+/-100 ft. resolution with unlimited vertical detection).

Both TrafficScope systems include everything you need. VRX inlcudes a custom micro antenna, audio cable, power adaptor, mounting accessories, 120-page manual on CD, Quick Guide, an introductory DVD (upon registration), and legendary SureCheck support.
 

TrafficScope VRX is the only portable unit available with a built-in altimeter, ensuring the traffic information is accurate at all times. Because of this, TrafficScope does not need to be in a transponder-equipped aircraft to function. Without an altimeter, if the transponder is not responding or is squawking a valid altitude code, pilots will receive erroneous information.

TrafficScope boasts advanced features found nowhere else, such as an altitude alerter, which displays the current altitude and alerts the pilot to pre-selected altitude deviations. An alerter that correctly identifies wake turbulence situations is included. TrafficScope can also detect problems with your transponder and encoder and can be used as a backup altimeter. TrafficScope is the only system in existence allowing truly portable operation from AA batteries or aircraft power (10-40 VDC compatible). Twelve detection window settings can be achieved by changing the range (horizontal window) independently from the altitude (vertical window) through a series of user-friendly menus.

All transponder-equipped aircraft will be displayed on the easy-to-read, backlit LCD display on the VRX, or in a 10-segment bar display on the Micro. In addition, TCAS-style warning indicators and professionally recorded audio alerts indicate traffic threats (VRX). The stereo/mono-switchable audio system is designed to work with any ICS without loss of audio quality.

Your TrafficScope VRX is a standalone, portable, passive airtraffic detection device. TrafficScope was designed for use in aircraft ranging from light, single-engine piston airplanes to turbojet systems and rotorcraft.

VRX offers altitude and range information, providing a 3-dimensional controllable detection window around your aircraft. VRX incorporates a user-selectable limiting system, allowing the greatest control of which threats are of greatest concern to you. TrafficScope displays the most significant threat to your aircraft based on a variety of protocols, tracking the three most prominent. It continuously adjusts to keep you informed of the most likely threat to your flight.

Your TrafficScope also has the ability to see exactly what altitude your transponder is reporting to both ATC and other nearby TCAS-equipped aircraft. Should an error occur with your transponder encoding, or should your transponder or encoder fail, TrafficScope will alert you. TrafficScope VRX  incorporate the SmartLogic™ family of microprocessors which provide for firmware updating to allow for future enhancements and new features. VRX contains its own on-board, solid-state altimeter system, ensuring the highest level of precision and assessment in altitude reporting. TrafficScope is also designed with pressurized aircraft use in mind and gives you the ability to adapt the unit accordingly.

For permanent installations, the unit may also be tied into your aircraft’s static port line. In addition to alerting you to surrounding aircraft proximity, VRX will also monitor such other threats as wake turbulence and advise you accordingly with a pleasant female voice.
